Psychological Assessment
The goal of an assessment is to better understand an individual’s strengths and current areas of struggle. A psychological assessment gathers information about a child, youth, or adult through a variety of methods including interviews, standardized tests, rating scales, and observations. This assessment process may help to uncover a diagnosis, but more importantly, it will provide you with a pathway of understanding, a plan for intervention, and recommendations to help each child, youth, or adult succeed.
Mental Health Assessment
A mental health assessment gathers information to better understand an individual's current mental health profile including their social, emotional, and behavioural functioning. Mental health assessments involve intake interviews, interviews with the individual, questionnaires, consultations with important individuals in their lives, and a final report including results of the assessment and our recommendations.
Psycho-educational Assessment
A psycho-educational assessment involves gathering information to better understand an individual's cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioural functioning. Psycho-educational assessments involve intake interviews, standardized assessments with the student, questionnaires, consultations with important individuals in their lives, as well as a final report including results of the assessment and our recommendations.
